Hard luck to the Boys u16 Gaelic football team coached by Mr.Davitt on reaching  the Connacht final on Friday the 8th
but were narrowly defeated by Belmullet.

Congratulations also to the Girls' Cadette Volleyball Team who won the All-Ireland Volleyball Final  in UCD, Dublin and to their coach Ms.McDermott. A great day was had by the girls and the student council would like to commend their victory.

Congratulations to Lisa Needham who was choosen for the Ireland volleyball team. On the 19th of March lisa played for the Ireland team against the northern-Ireland team who they defeated.

Wishing the junior girls volleyball teams who are still competing the best of luck in their respective categories.

Well Done to Seán Doherty a second year student who competed in the junior Masterchef finals held in St.Angela’s College in Sligo on the 18th March 2011.

Brendan McDonnell a first year student who received recognition on raising a generous amount of money in the MS readthon. The readAthon is a valuable fundraiser in which many students from the school participated in, well done to all involved.

Well done to the Westport united u-16 boys managed by Jim Rocliffe who won the mayo league and cup and are currently in the Connaught cup semi final against Mervue.

Well Done to Kevin Gibbons a fifth year student who is a member of the Mayo Minor team.

Well Done to Austin Gibbons is a member of the Connaught Rugby U-18 development squad.
